2D Con 2027

2D Con is an annual gaming and pop-culture convention held in the Twin Cities area. The 2027 edition takes place August 20-22, 2027, with a Special Preview Night on August 19, 2027, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington - Minneapolis South in Bloomington, Minnesota; the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel (5601 West 78th Street) directly across the street serves as overflow lodging.

The event features 30+ esports tournaments, an artist alley and vendor marketplace, cosplay contests, a free-play arcade with 100+ cabinets, tabletop open play with a 1,000+ game library, Indie Island developer showcases, live music, and video game music concerts. 2D Con is organized by a volunteer team, raises money for charity, and was voted Minnesota's Best Arts & Culture Event (gold) for 2025.
