About APPEX

APPEX (Afri Print and Packaging Expo) is an international printing and packaging trade show in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The next edition is 26–28 November 2026 at AICC (Addis International Convention Center).

Organizer Prana Events, a division of Fairteam Trading Plc, promotes the printing, packaging and paper sector in East Africa. The homepage describes APPEX as the largest gathering of printing and packaging professionals in the East Africa region.

Rising domestic economies in East and West Africa, growing disposable income and an expanding population are increasing demand for consumer products and therefore for printing and packaging. Urbanization and mobility are pushing small packs and multipacks; merchants use packaging that saves shelf space and supports brand switching.

This three-day event is positioned as a B2B forum for technology, innovation and meetings with buyers.

Who attends

Supported by regional organizations, Ethiopian government ministries, NGOs and private stakeholders, the organizer says APPEX attracts trade visitors and delegates including publishers, printers, packaging companies, manufacturers, design agencies, government communication officers, NGOs and industry association leaders.

A visit is aimed at professionals in paper, printing and packaging: discovering products and technologies, meeting international suppliers, comparing vendors, and holding one-to-one meetings.
