About Allen Valleys Folk Festival
The Allen Valleys Folk Festival is a three-day community festival in Allendale, in the North Pennines of England. Established in 2014, it presents folk music, traditional dance, workshops and spoken word.
The official homepage states the 2026 dates: Friday 25, Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September. Saturday evening features the burning of a wooden sculpture of the legendary Allendale Wolf in the Marketplace. The 2026 spoken-word programme includes Quillseekers with Alex Corrin-Tachibana (Friday), a Young Adult fantasy storytelling workshop with Katherine Livesey (Saturday) and performances by Degna Stone and Tahmina Ali (Sunday).
