Status
American Handcrafted (formerly American Craft Retailers Expo / ACRE) has been permanently cancelled. Organizer Emerald Exhibitions stated that, given the specialized niche nature of the market, staging the show as a stand-alone event is not economically feasible.
The official website (americanhandcraftedshow.com) currently returns HTTP 404 (domain configuration pending). Exhibitors who had booked the planned February 2024 edition at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia were directed to other Emerald events (including NY NOW, ASD Market Week, IGES, and Surf Expo) or offered refunds.
About the former show
American Handcrafted was a juried wholesale trade show for established artists across craft mediums. It historically ran as a winter edition in Philadelphia and, earlier, a summer edition in Las Vegas. Only qualified buyers and retailers could attend.
Alternatives
Emerald and ASD Market Week continue to invite former American Handcrafted artists to exhibit within complementary gift, home, and handmade neighborhoods at other Emerald shows rather than a dedicated American Handcrafted event.
There is no next edition and no published 2026–2027 dates.
