Professional Development Institute

The Professional Development Institute (PDI), the flagship training event of the Society of Defense Financial Management (SDFM, formerly ASMC), is the premier annual gathering for defense financial managers from the DoD, US Coast Guard and public/private sectors. The 2026 national PDI was held 27-29 May 2026 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing together more than 7,000 attendees for 120+ educational sessions, keynotes and mini-courses across auditing, budgeting, acquisition and workforce management, with up to 180 CPE credits.
