About
A one-day regional tabletop exhibition and technical forum organised by SMTA (Surface Mount Technology Association), the international industry body for electronics assembly and surface-mount manufacturing. SMTA local expos give engineers and buyers exposure to global technology at a local level, and are free for attendees.
Who attends
Process engineers, manufacturing engineers, production managers, engineering managers, quality managers, product managers, and buyers from electronics manufacturing and EMS companies across the Southeast US.
Programme
- Registration from 9:00 AM
- Free technical sessions/presentations during the day
- Exhibitor tabletop displays of assembly equipment, materials and services
- Complimentary lunch for registered attendees
- Close at 4:00 PM
Registration & cost
Attendance is free and includes access to the expo, the technical presentations and a complimentary lunch. Registration is via the SMTA event page (online registration for the 2026 edition is now closed). Exhibitors and sponsors register through the same event portal.

Gwinnett County Fairgrounds, 2405 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, GA 30045 (Gwinnett County, metro Atlanta). SMTA offers a discount room block at TownePlace Suites Atlanta Lawrenceville, 1740 Lakes Pkwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. On-site parking (Sugarloaf Parkway parking lot).
