BANFF World Media Festival is the international conference, marketplace and Rockie Awards for the global film and television industry, bringing together the world’s top creators, producers, showrunners, talent, networks, studios, streamers, press and media companies.
The 2026 edition featured a showrunner super panel with the creators behind BEEF, The Pitt, Every Year After and Spider-Noir, a keynote from Succession creator Jesse Armstrong, and the first BANFF Summit Series keynote by Jinny Howe (Netflix, Head of U.S. and Canada Scripted Series), alongside industry-trend and brand storytelling sessions. Spain was named 2026 Country of Honour. The Rockie Awards announced 151 nominees across 29 categories, selected from entries submitted from 45 countries. Additional programmes include the Indigenous Screen Summit, the Diversity of Voices: Elevate initiative, and the BANFF Spark Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media, in partnership with Paramount+.
