About Bengal Travel Mart

Bengal Travel Mart (BTM) is the largest travel and tourism mart of East and North East India. It was conceived by the Eastern Himalaya Travel and Tour Operators' Association (EHTTOA), with the support of the Government of West Bengal (North Bengal Development Department), and its motto is "Meet Talk Expand". The mart brings together tour operators, hoteliers, airlines, homestays, resorts, transport operators, state tourism departments and other tourism stakeholders for B2B and B2C interactions, promoting tourism across West Bengal, Northeast India and the neighbouring countries of Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.

10th edition - 7 to 9 January 2027

The next Bengal Travel Mart, the 10th edition, will take place from 07 to 09 January 2027 (Thursday to Saturday) in Siliguri, West Bengal, India, as published on the official website. The 9th edition was held 9-11 January 2026, also in Siliguri.

FAM Trip (09-12 January 2027)

A hosted FAM trip follows the mart - 2 nights Gangtok + 1 night Darjeeling, starting 09 January and ending 12 January 2027, with 4-star (APAI) accommodation. Day 1: Siliguri to Gangtok via Kalimpong; Day 2: excursion to Changu (Tsomgo) Lake and Baba Mandir; Day 3: Gangtok to Darjeeling via Lover's Point, Lamahatta Park, Peshok Tea Garden and Batasia Loop; Day 4: Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport, with an early-morning Tiger Hill sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga.

Participation

• B2B meetings between sellers of West Bengal tourism products and buyers from the rest of India and from international markets, using software-driven automated business meetings.
• B2C general travel fair open to the general public.
• Hosted buyers: major tour operators and travel agents of India.
• Sellers: West Bengal and North-Eastern state tourism departments, private tour operators, travel agents, hotels, homestays and transporters.
• International participants from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
