About CAST

CAST — the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching — is the annual conference of the Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT). For more than 60 years STAT has presented CAST. It has evolved into the preeminent, must-attend event for thousands of science educators and advocates from across Texas and the entire Southwest.

CAST is three days of in-person professional learning: hands-on sessions and workshops, a large exhibit hall of teaching tools and resources, and connections with science educators. Attendees come from elementary science, chemistry, engineering, biology and other science disciplines.
