The official Future Conference Dates page (https://cheeseexpo.org/future_conference_dates.cfm) states this is an annual conference taking place every April. It alternates between CheeseExpo in even-numbered years and CheeseCon in odd-numbered years:

• CheeseExpo occurs in Milwaukee during even-numbered years. It features a large tradeshow floor where exhibitors can buy multiple 10 x 10 booths. Large equipment and displays are permitted. Exhibits are open for two afternoons (Wednesday and Thursday).
• CheeseCon is held in Madison during odd-numbered years. It offers tabletop exhibits, with each company allowed to purchase only one 10 x 10 exhibit space. Large equipment is not allowed. Exhibits are open for one afternoon (Wednesday).

CheeseCon unites over 3,000 dairy processing professionals. It combines in-depth educational sessions, high-value networking, celebrations honoring industry excellence, and a tabletop exhibit floor filled with trusted industry suppliers, focused on the cheese, butter, whey, and cultured dairy industry.

Hosts: Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research (CDR).

Free surface parking is available at the Alliant Energy Center throughout CheeseCon. The Alliant Energy Center is ADA compliant.

Official lodging must be booked through the CheeseCon online lodging system. CheeseCon has not endorsed anyone to contact attendees directly to book hotel rooms.

Who can attend (official 2027 FAQ)

CheeseCon welcomes cheese, butter and whey industry professionals from across the globe, including CEOs and other C-suite executives, plant managers and supervisors, food safety and quality assurance staff, maintenance and sanitation workers, artisan cheesemakers, human resources leaders, marketing staff and product distributors, research and development scientists, sales teams, young professionals, and experienced industry veterans.

Dairy manufacturers, processors, and marketers may attend regardless of WCMA membership. Industry suppliers must be members of Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association to attend.

Registration desks and badge printing are located in the Exhibition Hall at the Alliant Energy Center. Registration hours stated on the FAQ:

• Tuesday, April 20 from 12:00-7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 21 from 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 22 from 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Registrations canceled on or before April 12, 2027 receive a 75% refund. No refunds after April 12.

The official CheeseCon mobile app will be available for download in March 2027.
