Organiser: Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) — the UK trade body for the paper-based industries (papermaking/tissue, packaging, converting, recovered paper). Frequency: biennial (every two years).

• Keynote — Elizabeth Hyde (Hesper GRC), "From Silence to Safety: psychological safety and accident prevention".
• Maria Dennis on load security and the human consequences of everyday safety compliance.
• Closing keynote — Matt Lindley, commercial airline captain and former RAF Royal Squadron pilot.
• Workshops / breakout sessions on human error and safety-critical tasks, mental health and wellbeing, measuring performance, and load security.

Theme: moving "beyond simple compliance" to deliver the strategic health and safety goals of the Paper and Board Industry Advisory Committee (PABIAC) strategy "Health and Safety – it's in our hands". Delegates attended from all operational levels across the UK paper-based industries, alongside sponsors and exhibitors showcasing the latest health and safety products, services and technology.

The conference runs biennially, so the next edition is expected in 2028. As of 22 September 2026 CPI has not published dates or a venue for the 2028 edition (the CPI events calendar and the official conference page carry no 2027/2028 entry).
