The Kreativmarkt Erfurt (Creative Market Erfurt) is a craft and design market held in the Zughafen in Erfurt, Thuringia - a former freight-yard site whose industrial architecture gives the market its motto: "Kreativitaet trifft Industriekultur" (creativity meets industrial heritage). Around 65 stalls offer handmade pieces, stylish design, original gift ideas and one-off items: fashion and jewellery, decoration and home accessories, arts and crafts and unusual small items. The market runs both indoors and outdoors, with food stalls alongside.

• Getting there: paid car park at the entrance to the Zughafen site; about a 10-minute walk from Erfurt Hauptbahnhof, following the railway line

The market is run by Kreativmaerkte, which stages this format at more than a dozen venues, including Chemnitz, Cottbus, Dresden (Galopprennbahn), Glauchau, Grossenhain, Hildesheim, Ilmenau, Leipzig (agra), Magdeburg, Riesa, Schloss Schoenfeld, Wuerzburg and Zwickau.
