DEF CON is the world's largest hacking and cybersecurity conference, held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dates & Venue: DEF CON 35 runs August 5-8, 2027 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), 3150 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV. This follows DEF CON 34 (August 6-9, 2026), whose theme was 'Agency'.

What to expect: A packed program of talks by security researchers and hackers, hands-on workshops, formal and informal contests (including the flagship Capture The Flag / CTF), themed villages, demo labs, trainings, vendor/exhibitor spaces, parties and meetups. The conference spans multiple areas of cybersecurity and computer science, from AI agent security to hardware hacking.
