Defence Intelligence Industry Day

Defence Intelligence Industry Day — a one-day industry event hosted by techUK at its London office (10 St Bride Street, London EC4A 4AD), held on 14 October 2021, 10:00–16:00.

The day was an opportunity for Defence Intelligence (DI) to share its vision and direction of travel with as many potential future partners across industry as possible. Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Sir Jim Hockenhull, opened proceedings, and other speakers set out likely future intent in areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, the exploitation of Mission Data, Open Source Intelligence, and work in the Cyber and Electromagnetic Domain.

The programme ran across four sessions: Welcome & Key Note; DI's Outcomes in the Integrated Review; Future Capabilities (Mission Data, Open Source, Geospatial Intelligence, Defence ISR Strategy, panel discussion); Routes to Market (Programmes, Delivery, Innovation, the DI Pillar); and a Closing Address & Look Forward. The event was free to attend; physical attendance was capped (one person per company) with the day also streamed virtually. Registration opened from 09:30.
