All Things Media Ltd (ATM) has removed EI Live! 2026 from the smart-home and high-performance AV events calendar. Companies already booked to exhibit were informed. The organiser says there is not currently the demand or appetite for a dedicated UK smart home and AV show.
ATM will concentrate on Essential Install Magazine and EssentialInstall.com. An announcement on the Smart Building Awards (usually held with EI Live!) was expected separately; that part of the portfolio may continue as a stand-alone event.
A return for EI Live! has not been ruled out. The 2026 edition had been planned for 23–24 September 2026 at NEC Birmingham (co-located with ECN Live!), after previous years at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. Those dates will not take place.
Founder and CEO David Kitchener said the team invested significantly to run the show as normal, but there was not the desire or budgets for an EI Live! in 2026. Anyone with questions about the decision or the future of the show is invited to contact ATM via the official site.
