H.C.R. (the International Home Care and Rehabilitation Exhibition & Forum) is one of Asia's largest welfare equipment events, organised by the Japan National Council of Social Welfare and the Health and Welfare Information Association, with support from Japanese ministries and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. It brings together welfare, rehabilitation and caregiving equipment and supplies that promote independence and social participation for elderly and disabled people, across categories including mobility, dining, toileting, bathing and communication. The 53rd edition, H.C.R.2026, featured 382 exhibitors including 44 from overseas and around 120,000 visitors, alongside a forum programme of international symposia, seminars, an Excretion Care Information Plaza and a Technology x Care Exhibition, plus a parallel web-based exhibition. Admission is free with pre-registration required. H.C.R.2026 ran 7-9 October 2026, 10:00-17:00 (until 16:00 on the final day), at Tokyo Big Sight East Halls 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8; dates for the next edition have not yet been published.
