Western Gas Measurement Short Course (WGMSC)

About

The Western Gas Measurement Short Course is a non-profit corporation (501(c)(3)) dedicated to the education of natural gas industry personnel in the areas of measurement, pressure and flow control. It is administered by its officers and board of directors, all employees of Western United States and Canadian natural gas utilities and transportation companies.

The first Pacific Northwest Gas Measurement Short Course was held in 1960 in Seattle, Washington, hosted by Cascade Natural Gas Corporation. The name was later changed to the Western Gas Measurement Short Course to accommodate operators across the western United States and Canada.

• 40 classes taught by industry experts on gas control and measurement topics, from basics to advanced instruction.
• 37 hands-on classes for specific gas industry equipment, instructed by authorised factory and manufacturer representatives.
• Round-table discussions on leading industry topics.
• Around 100 exhibits displaying the latest gas industry technology.
• Networking with gas utility / transmission company technicians, supervisors and engineers together with gas equipment manufacturers and service company representatives.
