Faculty of Dentistry Clinical and Research Excellence Symposium 2026

The Clinical and Research Excellence Symposium is the fourth annual symposium of the University of Otago Faculty of Dentistry, highlighting the clinical excellence and research achievements of the Faculty. The 2026 edition takes place Wednesday 16 – Thursday 17 September 2026 at the Hutton Theatre, Tūtura Otago Museum, Dunedin, New Zealand, with online participation via livestream.

About the event

The meeting features keynote presentations from leading international researchers and clinicians, alongside presentations from Faculty staff and students exploring clinical cases and research projects. It welcomes dental professionals, practitioners, biomedical researchers, the dental industry, research funders and research users interested in cutting-edge dental and oral health research and clinical practice.

Format & CPD

• Hybrid format: in-person attendance at Hutton Theatre plus online participation via livestream (online participants can watch live and contribute questions).
• CPD points are available for all sessions of the meeting.
• Registration is free for in-person attendance (supported by sponsors, required for catering); a small fee applies for online attendance to enable livestream access.
