Fee Practice for Architects and Engineers According to the HOAI

HOAI-Honorarpraxis für Architekten und Ingenieure (Fee Practice for Architects and Engineers According to the HOAI) is a specialist continuing-education seminar on the German Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI 2021). It covers fee determination, honorarium calculation for basic and special services, planning changes requested by clients, extended planning and construction periods, phased project commissioning, premature termination of collaborations, and the role of BIM. The seminar is aimed at architects, engineers, general planners, project managers and construction-law professionals, and is led by Prof. Dr. Steffen Gratz. Organised by IBR-Seminare (Mannheim, Germany), the seminar is held as a one-day in-person event in several German cities (Berlin, Mannheim, Leipzig). Recent editions took place in Berlin (October 2025) and Mannheim (April 2026); the next edition is to be announced.
