Games for Change Festival 2026

The Games for Change Festival returned as an in-person event on July 21–22, 2026, at The Glasshouse in New York City. Under the theme "Reimagining Play," the two-day festival brought together game creators, researchers, educators, and innovators to explore how play drives social impact across education, health, civic engagement, and social innovation.

The programme featured keynotes, panels, workshops, the Games for Change Awards, and networking. Speakers included Constance Steinkuehler (UC Irvine), Sara DeWitt (PBS KIDS), and Stanley Pierre-Louis (Entertainment Software Association). The next edition's dates have not yet been announced.
