IACME Fall Meeting and Education Expo 2026
The Iowa Association of County Medical Examiners (IACME) holds its annual Fall Meeting and Education Expo on Friday–Saturday, November 6–7, 2026 at the West Des Moines Marriott (1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa).
Attendees include medical examiners, medical examiner investigators, law enforcement, nurses, EMTs, attorneys, funeral directors, and others involved in death investigation. The meeting offers in-person and virtual attendance with an exhibit hall for commercial and non-profit exhibitors.
Schedule highlights
- Friday, Nov 6: ME-101 death investigation basics, NTSB fatality management, legal authority topics, toxicology trends, prison deaths; evening reception and banquet
- Saturday, Nov 7: Case presentations, photography, grave excavation/exhumation, Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner update
