The 40th International Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS40) will be held at PACIFICO Yokohama in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, from 13 to 16 June 2027, together with the 8th International Electric Vehicle Technology Conference (EVTeC2027).

EVS is one of the world’s largest international symposiums and exhibitions on electrified vehicles—including battery electric vehicles (BEVs), hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). Under the auspices of the World Electric Vehicle Association (WEVA), it has been held alternately in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region since 1969. Japan previously hosted EVS13 (Osaka 1996), EVS22 (Yokohama 2006), and EVS31 (Kobe 2018).

The event is organized by the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI) and co-organized by WEVA, the Electric Vehicle Association of Asia Pacific (EVAAP), and the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE). It will be held in conjunction with the JSAE/SAE Powertrains, Energy and Lubricants International Meeting. Format is in-person; the working language is English. Expected attendance is about 1,100 participants from around 40 countries and regions.

EVS40 will cover vehicles, batteries, charging and grid integration, and related policy and deployment, and will include a technical exhibition of vehicles, components, and technologies. Official site: https://www.multipathway.jp/evs40_evtec2027/
