2026 Iowa Pork Congress
The Iowa Pork Congress is North America’s largest winter swine trade show, organised by the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) and held each January in Des Moines, Iowa, for more than 50 years.
2026 edition: January 21–22, 2026 at the Iowa Events Center, Des Moines, Iowa, United States, with 225+ exhibitors covering the latest technology, equipment, animal health and industry services.
Wednesday, January 21 — trade show 09:00–17:00, alongside the Student Research Poster Contest. Educational programme: “Coffee Chat with Eldon: DNR Rules, Court Cases, and Animal Welfare Laws” (Eldon McAfee); keynote “Cultivating a Mindset of Growth and Grit in Agriculture” (retired Brig. Gen. Mike Oster); “Pork, Policy, Politics, and Populism” (Al Tank); “Economic and Livestock Market Outlook” (Dr. Lee Schulz, Ever.Ag). The evening Iowa Pork Congress Banquet hosts the Master Pork Awards Program and the crowning of the Iowa Pork Queen / 2026 Iowa Pork Youth Leadership Team.
Thursday, January 22 — trade show 09:00–14:00, convention closes at 14:00. Sessions: “What’s in the Future for an Iowa Pork Producer – Artificial Intelligence, Data Utilization and Emerging Technologies” and “The Many Moments of a Hog – Let’s Get Creative” (Kari Underly, Range Meat Academy). New for 2026: Spanish-language technical training sessions.
