IDP Study Abroad Expo in Abu Dhabi

The IDP Study Abroad Expo is one of the most distinguished higher education fairs in the Middle East. IDP Education has been organising this exhibition for more than 19 years, bringing together leading universities and colleges from top study-abroad destinations — Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand — all under one roof. It has become a meeting point for universities and students who want to put their study-abroad ambitions into action.

What happens at the Expo

• Representatives from many universities and colleges give in-depth information about their programmes, degrees and admission requirements.
• Visitors can receive an on-the-spot offer if they have the required documents and meet the admission criteria.
• IDP counsellors run fast pre-counselling sessions to narrow down options and direct students to the universities that match their requirements.
• After the Expo, the IDP team follows up on next steps, including applications, visa requirements and other prerequisites.
• Interactive side sessions usually run alongside the exhibition (for example an IELTS Masterclass and destination-specific information sessions).

Who should attend

Anyone interested in studying abroad — school students, undergraduates, postgraduates and their families. IDP recommends bringing academic transcripts, identification and any available test scores so that on-site decisions can be made.

Where and when

The Expo is staged twice a year in the UAE, usually around February/March and September/October, with a companion Dubai edition. The Abu Dhabi edition has traditionally been held at the InterContinental Abu Dhabi (Grand & Liwa Majlis Ballrooms).

Dates for the next Abu Dhabi edition have not yet been announced by IDP Education UAE; the official series page lists them as soon as they are published.
