Maryland State Fair

The Maryland State Fair is the largest ticketed event and celebration of agriculture in Maryland, held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds (2200 York Road, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093). The 2026 edition runs across three weekends: Aug 27-30, Sep 3-7, and Sep 10-13.

Organised by the Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to agriculture education, the fair celebrates Maryland's agricultural heritage through livestock, farm & garden, home arts, and equine exhibits, competitions, and demonstrations. A carnival midway with rides and games, live concerts and performances, horse racing, shopping, and signature Maryland foods (crab dishes, funnel cakes) round out the event. Since 2005 the fair has donated over $500,000 in scholarships to Maryland youth.
