METROCON is a 'for fans, by fans' anime convention held every summer at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida. The three-day event is packed with anime, video games, cosplay, comic books, sci-fi, fantasy and film, anchored in deep anime and gaming roots. Highlights include celebrity special guests, hundreds of exhibitors, an exhibit hall and attending merchants, cosplay contests, panels and workshops, gaming, music and dance events, a rave, the Masquerade, a Maid Cafe and a manga library. The convention drew 15,142 unique attendees in 2025. The 2026 edition runs July 31 - August 2, 2026 under the theme 'Stay Feral.'
