MISA Prairies Annual Conference & Trade Show

MISA Prairies is the Prairies chapter of the Municipal Information Systems Association (MISA/ASIM Canada). Its Annual Conference & Trade Show is the chapter's flagship event for municipal IT and information-systems professionals from Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta, combining plenary sessions, pre-conference workshops and a vendor trade show floor. The conference is hosted by a different Prairie city each year.

Programme and audience

The conference targets municipal IT staff, CIOs, GIS and cybersecurity teams, records managers and the vendor partners who supply them. Typical session topics include cybersecurity and ransomware resilience, GIS and spatial data, records management, digital service delivery, AI governance, cloud infrastructure and smart-city technology. Registration is open to municipal members; vendor partners take part through sponsorship and the trade show. In addition to the annual conference, MISA Prairies runs a monthly webinar series (no webinars in July and August).
