City of Cape Canaveral EV Expo

About

The City of Cape Canaveral EV Expo is a free public electric vehicle event held in Cape Canaveral, Florida, as part of the national Drive Electric campaign. Over a dozen cars are displayed, drivers give first-hand testimony on the various electric makes and models, visitors can sit in the vehicles, and the city shows off its own growing electrified fleet. The city frames it around its history beside America's pioneering space programme and its wish to be at the forefront of clean transportation.

• 66 attendees registered, with vehicle models including Tesla Model Y and Model 3, Ford C-MAX Energi and Mustang Mach-E, Arcimoto FUV, BMW i4, Cadillac LYRIQ and Chevrolet Bolt
• Test drives were offered on the day at the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy tent, first come first served, for drivers aged 25 and over
• Partners included the City of Cape Canaveral and local organisations

Notes

• The parent campaign has since grown from National Drive Electric Week into National Drive Electric Month, with the 2026 campaign running 11 September to 12 October 2026 and hundreds of local events across the United States. The organiser's event list for 2026 does not include a Cape Canaveral edition, so this entry carries the 2023 edition held at Manatee Sanctuary Park.
