Pinot Noir New Zealand 2025

Pinot Noir New Zealand is New Zealand Winegrowers’ flagship gathering for the country’s Pinot Noir community.

The 2025 edition took place in Ōtautahi Christchurch, the first time the event was held in New Zealand’s South Island. For three days (11–13 February 2025) the city hosted producers, speakers and guests for tastings, plenary sessions, a culinary and social programme, and regional winery road trips.

Official positioning: “It is people, it is land. He Tangata, he whenua.” The programme explores tūrangawaewae (place), kaitiakitanga (guardianship) and New Zealand Pinot Noir’s distinctive character. Major programme elements included plenaries at the host city, Taste of Waitaha Canterbury at Christchurch Town Hall, and Pinot Palooza / gala dinner at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.

As of October 2026 the official site still documents the 2025 edition; dates for a subsequent edition have not been published.
