About the Show

The expo brings together the power and electrical engineering installation, dealership and distribution business in Ghana and West Africa. It is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Trade & Investment of Ghana, with support from leading chambers and sectoral associations including AGI, the Ghana National Chamber, the Ghana Electrical Contractors Association and the Ghana Electrical Dealers Association.

Market Context

Ghana, with a population of about 31 million and over 5,000 MW of installed generation capacity, is a power exporter to its neighbours, and about 85% of the population has access to power. Renewable sources - especially solar PV and wind - are a government priority, with private-sector participation encouraged. Ghana imported roughly USD 743 million of electrical items and power equipment in 2020, led by insulated wires, accumulators, transformers, convertors, switching and electrical circuits.

The show reflects strong demand for street lighting, energy monitoring devices, efficiency at commercial and industrial units, and decentralized power systems.
