Prairie Livestock Expo — formerly Hog & Poultry Days — is the premier livestock production exhibition in Manitoba and a one-stop shopping event showcasing the newest technology and information for all livestock production needs: animal handling, feed additives, housing systems, feeding equipment, odour control, composting and manure application.

Pork Quality Competition (PQC)

The PQC celebrates excellence in pork production by recognising the "Best of the Best"; producers from across Canada compete for the Grand Champion title. Since the first competition in 1996, more than $465,000 has been donated to charities and over 162,000 lbs (73,000+ kg) of top-quality pork donated to Manitoba food banks. 2026 entry dates: applications open September 8, 2026 and close November 9, 2026 (no entry fee; maximum two market hogs per sow operation).

Exhibitor information

• Booth size: 10' x 8'; registration fee $875 + GST ($918.75)
• Ingress (set-up): Tuesday, December 15, 1:00 pm – 8:00 pm; Wednesday, December 16, 7:00 am – 9:00 am (all exhibitors must be set up by 9:00 am)
• Egress (take-down): December 16, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
• Cancellations received by November 25 are refunded less a $275 cancellation fee; cancellations after November 25 are not refunded
• Accommodation: room block at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre (group #355294)
