PROTECT (Doing Business Amidst New Threats) is the Philippines' landmark annual International Conference on Security & Safety, launched in 2005 as the country's only government–private sector partnership for national security, forged with the Anti-Terrorism Council. The series is organized by Leverage International (Consultants) Inc.
The 2026 edition was held as a one-day conference on May 14, 2026 at the AIM Conference Center, Makati City, Philippines. It convened senior government officials, Armed Forces leadership, foreign diplomats, academics, and business executives to examine the full spectrum of security threats — from terrorism and cyber attacks to data breaches, geopolitical risk, and AI-driven threats to critical infrastructure.
PROTECT has anticipated each year's emerging threats for two decades, evolving from critical-infrastructure protection to cyber security, resilience, and public–private collaboration. Past speakers include Nobel Peace Prize laureates, former intelligence leaders, and regional counter-terrorism experts.
PROTECT is an annual series; the next edition (2027) dates have not yet been announced as of this update.
