PulpFest 2027

PulpFest 2027 is the next edition of the organizer's summer pulp-magazine and popular-culture convention. It runs Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8, 2027 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh – Cranberry in Mars, Pennsylvania.

The official homepage states that the next PulpFest begins Thursday, August 5 and runs through Sunday, August 8, 2027 at that hotel. The 2027 registration page, the 2027 schedule, and the book-a-room page all give the same span: August 5 to 8, 2027, in Mars, Pennsylvania. The FAQ names PulpFest 2027 for Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 8 and sets the advance-registration deadline at 8 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, July 31, 2027. One FAQ sentence ends with the year 2026; that does not match the Thursday–Sunday weekdays (August 5, 2027 is a Thursday) or the rest of the official 2027 pages, so the published dates are August 5–8, 2027.

Checked 2026-10-03 (Asia/Shanghai). The stored draft dates 2026-07-22 to 2026-07-24 are already past and do not match the organizer's 2026 edition (homepage still titles July 30 – August 2, 2026, which has also ended). Those dates are not kept. The old page title "Register for PulpFest 2024" is the same PulpFest series, not a different show.

What the convention includes

PulpFest focuses on pulp magazines and related material: genre fiction, vintage paperbacks, first-edition hardcovers, original art, series books, dime novels, men's adventure, true crime, digest and slick magazines, Big Little Books, B-movies, serials, old-time radio, and pulp-related comic books and games. It is not a comic-book convention. Doc Con 2027, the 2027 Edgar Rice Burroughs Chain of Friendship gathering (ECOF), Farmercon XXII, and The Shadow Con 2027 are part of the same weekend; a PulpFest membership includes those gatherings.

The 2027 theme notes on the schedule page include the 90th anniversary of The Shadow radio drama's debut and a tribute to Will Murray. Programming details were planned to be announced on Monday, December 14, 2026.

Dealers' room and hours

The registration page says the dealers' room is 10,880 square feet with 150 six-foot tables, including 60 wall tables, plus 25 to 30 foyer wall tables. The FAQ lists buyer hours: August 5, 6, and 7 from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., and Sunday, August 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (most dealers packing). Dealer set-up is Wednesday, August 4, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (dealers and helpers only; no buying or selling), and Thursday, August 5 from 8 a.m. A membership badge is not required to enter the dealers' room on Sunday, August 8, and the programming room is open to the public free of charge.

Registration tables are outside the dealers' room. The desk is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. beginning Thursday, August 5. At-the-door payment can be cash, check, or credit card.
