The Sequim Irrigation Festival is the oldest continuing festival in Washington state, first held in 1896 to celebrate the irrigation ditches that brought water from the Dungeness River to the Sequim prairie. The 2026 festival ran from May 1 to May 10, 2026, with a travelling float schedule, parade, carnival and community events across Sequim. The festival honours the region's agricultural heritage and remains an annual spring tradition.
