Shed Builder Expo

Shed Builder Expo is the premier trade show for shed industry professionals across the United States and Canada, held 23-24 September 2026 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. The event brings together shed manufacturers, builders, dealers and haulers with more than 150 vendors displaying products and services designed for shed and outdoor structure professionals.

History

Shed Builder Expo has roots dating back more than 20 years. Tom Merkert with Capital Forest Products in Annapolis, MD launched ISM Expo (International Shed Manufacturers) around 2011, creating an event where lumber mills could interact directly with shed manufacturers from across the eastern half of the country. Later, Mo Lunsford with Union Grove Lumber launched a customer appreciation event that evolved into a building material and supplier exhibition. The two events combined and were rebranded as Shed Builder Expo by Shed Builder Magazine (now Shed Business Journal).

• Thursday, September 24, 2026: registration opens 7:00 am, workshops and presentations from 8:00 am, floor opens 10:30 am, floor closes 2:30 pm

Audience

The show is tailored to shed industry professionals - shed manufacturers and builders, dealers and haulers - and is not open to the general public. More than 2,500 shed professionals gather each September for networking, education and product sourcing.
