About the Show of Shows

The Show of Shows (SOS) is the flagship event of the Ohio Valley Military Society (OVMS), one of the largest antique arms and militaria gatherings in the United States. Roughly 2,000 tables of material are laid out for sale, covering antique firearms, edged weapons, uniforms, headgear, insignia, medals, documents and general militaria from many periods and countries.

The show is aimed at collectors, dealers and historians rather than the general public on its opening day, and it is known for the sheer density of material on the floor — visitors routinely comment that you can "see the curve of the earth" looking across the hall.

Venue

The show takes place in South Wing C of the Kentucky Exposition Center, 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville, Kentucky. The complex is next to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport and offers large on-site parking and exhibit halls suited to table-based collector shows.

Other OVMS events

OVMS also runs a June show in Wilmington, Ohio, an October Wilmington show and the MAX Show in York, Pennsylvania, but the Louisville Show of Shows remains the society's largest event of the year.
