Southport Airshow 2026

The Southport Airshow is an annual seaside air display staged over the town's wide sandy beach on the Irish Sea coast in Southport, Merseyside, with Southport Pier (Britain's second-longest pleasure pier) as a backdrop. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August 2026.

The 2026 flying programme is expected to include the Red Arrows (both days), an RAF Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 (Sunday), and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight trio of Dakota ZA947, Hurricane and Spitfire P7350, alongside vintage warbirds such as the P-51D Mustang "Jersey Jerk" and the Douglas A-26 Invader "Miss Eloise II". Aerobatic acts include Richard Goodwin's Jet Pitts S2SE, The Starlings Aerobatic Team, the Strikemaster Display Team and the four-helicopter Gazelle Squadron, plus Brendan O'Brien and Otto the helicopter with daytime pyrotechnics.

Unlike most seaside airshows, the displays fly over sand rather than water; the best viewing areas are ticketed and some light aircraft may land on the beach. Saturday ticket holders can use their ticket for the Sunday. The show is organised by Southport Tourism, based at Southport Town Hall, Lord Street, Southport PR8 1DA; the organisers' official visitor site is visitsouthport.com.
