Sustainable Material Expo (SUSMA)
Held inside the Highly-functional Material Week, this is a B-to-B trade show and exhibition dedicated to sustainable and eco-friendly materials and technologies.
Tokyo edition: September 30 (Wed) – October 2 (Fri), 2026, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (closes at 5 p.m. on the final day), at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan.
About the Show
The show is a comprehensive sustainable material exhibition covering eco-friendly materials such as biodegradable resins and cellulose, with an extensive showcase of plant-based materials, recycled materials, resources & materials for the circular economy, plant-derived raw materials, and marine plastic solutions.
It provides a place for full-scale business negotiations and business matching with the aim of solving the marine plastic problem and realizing a carbon-neutral and carbon-free society. "Leading" refers to the exhibitor number of trade shows with the same concept. It is one of 7 specialized fairs within Highly-functional Material Week (advanced film, plastics, metal, ceramics, adhesives, paint & coating, and sustainable materials).
Free visitor registration is available; early registration (before September 4) offers free admission, with a JPY 5,000 fee thereafter.
