About SWISS AUTOMATION 2026
The 15th Symposium on Lab Automation and the Symposium on Robotics and Industrial Automation take place on Thursday 10 September 2026 at OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, Campus Rapperswil (Oberseestrasse 10, 8640 Rapperswil-Jona, Switzerland).
SWISS AUTOMATION is an application-oriented platform for knowledge transfer between academia and industry. Organiser: ILT Institute for Lab Automation and Mechatronics. The 2026 edition also marks 15 years of SWISS AUTOMATION and 20 years of ILT.
Focus topic: Technology and Innovation for a Resilient Future – from Research to Industrial Advantage.
Programme highlights
- Registration and exhibition from about 09:30 in OST Building 4 (listing hours 09:00–22:00).
- Welcome and keynote: Dr. Alessandro Curioni (IBM Research Europe – Zurich) on AI and quantum computing in automation.
- Parallel tracks: Symposium on Lab Automation (Health and Life Science) and Symposium on Robotics and Industrial Automation — about 10 presentations.
- More than 30 exhibitors; around 200 guests.
- Evening anniversary programme at Schloss Rapperswil (apéro, welcome speeches, flying dinner; event ends 21:30).
