Taiyou Con is Arizona's family-friendly 3-day anime convention and Japanese festival, held 19-21 February 2027 at the Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, Arizona. The 17th annual edition offers over 300 hours of Asian pop culture programming: anime, cosplay, video games, K-Pop, maid cafe, artist alley, vendor hall and Asian food trucks.

About Taiyou Con 2027
Taiyou Con is a family-friendly, three-day anime convention and Japanese festival billed as Arizona's anime convention. The 2027 edition is the 17th Annual event and runs February 19-21, 2027 at the Mesa Convention Center in Mesa, Arizona.
The convention is an introduction to all things Asian pop culture - anime, cosplay, video games, K-Pop, Asian food trucks and much more - with over 300 hours of interactive activities. It began 16 years earlier as a free eight-hour gathering at a school for people who wanted a place to share their common interests; the organizers say the event has grown much larger while keeping the same mission of helping people make memories together.
Taiyou Con is explicitly kid-friendly: children 11 years old or younger get free admission with a paid adult ticket (up to 2 children per paid adult ticket, and children must be supervised at all times).

- Guests - anime voice actors, DJs, artists and cosplayers. 2027 guests announced on the official site include voice actors Cherami Leigh (Lucy in Fairy Tail, Asuna in Sword Art Online, Female V in Cyberpunk 2077) and Kira Buckland (Jolyne Cujoh in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, 2B in NieR:Automata)
- Masquerade - cosplay competition with prizes
- Maid Cafe - skits, singing and food service

- Solar Japanese Festival - food trucks, shopping, music and live entertainment
