About Techtextil 2028

Techtextil is the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, organised by Messe Frankfurt. The next edition takes place 4–7 April 2028 at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds, held concurrently with Texprocess.

Innovations often arise from unexpected encounters. National and international exhibitors will showcase the full spectrum of high-tech textiles across twelve application areas. Research, development and scalable implementation work best when the entire value chain is present, which is why Texprocess runs alongside Techtextil.

Dates and opening hours

• Dates: 4–7 April 2028
• Tuesday to Thursday (4–6 April 2028): 09:00–18:00
• Friday (7 April 2028): 09:00–16:00
• Exhibitor tickets allow entry to the exhibition centre one hour before visitor opening.

Daily hours vary, so a single start/end time is not set.

Venue

Messe Frankfurt, Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage 1, 60327 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The grounds sit at the centre of Europe with air, rail and road links. Visitor tickets include free local public transport in the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV).

Application areas

Techtextil groups technical textiles and nonwovens into twelve application areas: Agrotech, Buildtech, Clothtech, Geotech, Hometech, Indutech, Medtech, Mobiltech, Oekotech, Packtech, Protech and Sporttech.

Product groups

The product groups cover the full value chain: research, development, education and consulting; textile production technology and processes; fibres and yarns; woven fabrics, laid webs, braidings and knitted fabrics; nonwovens; coated textiles; composites; Bondtec; textile chemicals and dyes; and performance apparel textiles.

Previous edition (2026)

Techtextil and Texprocess 2026 (21–24 April) recorded more than 36,000 visitors and 1,700 exhibitors from 112 countries. Visitor satisfaction was 95 percent; exhibitor satisfaction 86 percent overall and 90 percent at Texprocess.
