About
Since 1977, the Telluride Jazz Festival has been an annual August celebration of live jazz, funk and soul set against the backdrop of the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado. Widely regarded as one of the most scenic music events in the country, it pairs Grammy-winning artists, groundbreaking innovators, rare super-groups and top student bands in an intimate format.
Venue & Experience
The festival site is Telluride Town Park, an open space at the end of Main Street anchored by the Main Stage, with the free Society Stage and a forested festival campground. At night, music moves into historic indoor venues within walking distance of town, with late-night "Jazz After Dark" performances. The 2026 edition was the 49th annual festival; the 50th Anniversary celebration is scheduled for August 13–15, 2027.
