ANESTHESIOLOGY 2026 is the annual meeting of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). The organizer describes it as the largest and most influential anesthesia event in the world. The 2026 edition takes place October 16–20, 2026 at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101, with some governance activities at the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, 333 W Harbor Drive.

Join the specialty in San Diego to explore new ideas and innovations, refresh clinical knowledge, and engage with peers. Featured topics include non-operating room anesthesia, physician well-being, and workforce trends. The program includes 350+ panels, forums, fireside chats, and lectures across 11 clinical tracks; 30+ hands-on workshops (including Diagnostic POCUS Certificate Workshops); problem-based learning discussions; medically challenging cases; scientific abstracts; and special programs for residents, fellows, and medical students. The Opening Session (Emery A. Rovenstine Memorial Lecture and Keynote Address) is Saturday, October 17, 8:00–10:00 a.m. PT. Keynote speaker: Will Flanary, MD (Dr. Glaucomflecken).

Educational sessions run Saturday through Tuesday. The House of Delegates meets Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until business concludes.

Exhibit Hall events include Career Fair and Bite Break (Sat–Sun), Engage & Connect networking (Saturday 4–5 p.m.), and Morning Brew & Bites (Monday 10–11 a.m.).

Registration

Register on the official ASA annual meeting site. Early-bird member (Active/Affiliate/Educational) rate is $699 through August 18, 2026; advanced $949 (August 19–October 15); onsite $1,099 (October 16–20). Nonmember early-bird is $2,099. Cancellation deadline: Friday, September 18, 2026 (20% fee). ASA PLUS add-on provides OnDemand access to sessions from the annual meeting and ASA ADVANCE.
