The Grimoire Exhibition

The Grimoire Exhibition is the exhibition / trade-show arm of Grimoire Academy & Studios (Grimoire Studios LLC, Salem, Massachusetts, est. 2019) — a US touring gothic marketplace for folklore, horror, Halloween, witch and dark-arts vendors.

What it is

A themed vendor trade show / exhibition in which independent makers and small brands sell handmade goods — crystals, candles, herbal apothecary, fragrances, jewelry, art, plushies and occult-curiosities — alongside gothic, horror, vampire, monster and dark-fairytale programming. The organiser states the series has drawn 100,000+ attendees and that food/beverage is handled by the venues.

Naming (as of 2026-10-12)

The organiser now brands the tour “The Gothic Market” and describes “Grand Exhibitions / The Experience (Grimoire Exhibition)” as a future concept (“coming soon”). Third parties still use “The Grimoire Exhibition” as an alternate name for the same series — e.g. tech.vegas describes “The Grimoire Exhibition, also presented as The Gothic Market by Grimoire Academy”. • The listing URL held by this record (https://www.grimoireacademy.com/product/the-grimoire-exhibition-feb-15-16-ventura-fairgrounds-ca/248) now renders a “404 – Page not found” soft error: the Square Online store has been cleared of dated event products (only a US$2.99 ticket-transfer item remains on sale). The same product id (248) was later re-titled “The Gothic Market Mar 29–30 2025 Ventura Fairgrounds CA”, i.e. the dated product was renamed rather than deleted.
• Venue: the record's own listing placed the show at Ventura Fairgrounds; the organiser has repeatedly run this series at Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W Harbor Blvd., Ventura, CA 93001 (editions Mar 29–30, 2025 and Mar 28–29, 2026; the latter also listed on the fairgrounds' own event calendar).

Status

Brand and venue are active. The last edition at Ventura County Fairgrounds (Mar 28–29, 2026) has passed and no next Ventura edition has been announced, so no future dates are published for this record. Dates are deliberately left unchanged rather than invented; the 2020-01-01 sentinel and the unresolved year of the original “Feb 15–16” listing remain for human follow-up, as does the title-vs-brand mismatch (“The Grimoire Exhibition” vs. the organiser's current “The Gothic Market”).
