The Hospitality Show: Illinois

The Hospitality Show: Illinois is a one-day AHLA regional event held in Chicago, Illinois, for hotel owners, general managers and property-level leaders. It belongs to The Hospitality Show regional series run by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) together with its partner state lodging associations, sitting alongside AHLA's flagship national Hospitality Show. The regional format combines policy briefings, an expo floor of supplier partners and a networking reception; attendance is free and open to hoteliers and AHLA Allied (supplier) members.

• Venue: The Palmer House Hilton, 17 E Monroe St, Chicago, IL 60603, United States.
• Programme highlights: investing in major-market cities; federal, state and local policy updates delivered with elected officials; "Rethinking Labor in 2024: Leveraging Data to Transform Hotel Operations"; "Future Horizon: Navigating Hotel Sales in the AI Era"; an Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association (IHLA) update from Michael Jacobson; and an AHLA member-engagement update, closing with a networking reception (4:05-5:30 pm).
• A ForWard@Chicago women's leadership programme ran earlier the same day (9:30-11:30 am) at the same hotel as a special feature of the event.

Series status - next dates TBA

AHLA announced its 2026 regional series on 2 December 2025 with five stops: Chicago (29 January 2026), Honolulu (12 February 2026), Seattle (12 March 2026), Phoenix (4 June 2026) and Philadelphia (9 September 2026). Those editions have now taken place; the official announcement names cities only and publishes no venue for the 2026 Chicago stop.

No 2027 regional dates have been announced. The official event page still carries the last fully published edition (1 October 2024), AHLA's own event calendar lists no regional dates beyond 2026, and the brand, organiser and venue all remain active. Dates for the next edition are therefore TBA rather than cancelled.
