The North American Water Loss Conference & Exposition

AWWA's North American Water Loss (NAWL) conference and exposition addresses the challenge of lost drinking water and lost revenue at water utilities, presenting best practices for water audits and cost-efficient approaches to controlling losses. It is run by the American Water Works Association (AWWA).

Sessions cover water loss assessment, revenue recovery, performance standards and water loss control programmes. The audience includes utility managers, water auditors, conservation specialists, leak detection supervisors, metering and billing managers, engineers, consultants, researchers, product and service providers, regulators and utility board members.

Current status

NAWL is currently between editions. AWWA's event page lists the next edition as coming in January 2028, with the location still to be announced - plans are to be published on that page in late 2026. No 2028 dates or venue are published yet, so none are recorded here.
