Tokyo Gendai is Japan's international contemporary art fair, connecting Japan with the global art world. Leading galleries from around the world present the best of contemporary art, from emerging voices to globally-renowned masters. The fourth edition will be held at PACIFICO Yokohama from 11-13 September 2026, with a VIP Preview and Vernissage on 10 September. In addition to a place to discover and purchase art, Tokyo Gendai is a platform for cross-cultural exchange, connecting Japan's art scene with the global art community. The 2026 edition presents galleries across five key sectors: the flagship “Galleries”, “Hana ‘Flower’”, “Eda ‘Branch’”, the newly introduced “Miki ‘Trunk’” dedicated to works on paper including photography, drawing and prints, and “Tane ‘Seed’”, dedicated to presentations with a focus on digital media.
