Course

USATF-sanctioned and certified; frequent Boston Marathon qualifier. Scenic/historic Richmond routing along and across the James River with a renowned downhill finish. Course open 7 hours (16:02/mile pace required). Registration limited to 7,200 full-marathon participants; as of this refresh the full marathon is at capacity with waitlist open.

CMS correction

CMS previously stored 2026-07-06 → 2026-11-14. July 6 matches a homepage article:modified_time (content update / registration window), not race day. Replaced with the official race date 2026-11-14.
