Dates: 21–23 October 2026 (Wednesday–Friday)

Venue: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Portland, OR 97232, USA. All conference events take place at the Oregon Convention Center unless otherwise noted.

AWWA’s WaterSmart Innovations (WSI) is the association’s premier conference dedicated to advancing sustainable, efficient, and resilient water management. It brings together water utility professionals, resource managers, planners, engineers, conservation specialists, public agency representatives, consultants, and policy leaders.

Schedule at a glance (subject to change)

• Wednesday 21 Oct: Registration 07:00–17:00; pre-conference workshops and facility tours (additional fee); Students & Young Professionals Connect 18:00–20:00.
• Thursday 22 Oct: Registration 07:00–18:00; opening general session 08:30–09:30; exhibit hall 09:30–18:30 (lunch and cocktail reception in the hall); professional sessions morning and afternoon.
• Friday 23 Oct: Registration 07:30–15:30; exhibit hall 10:00–14:00; professional sessions morning and afternoon.

Full-conference registration includes educational sessions, the exposition, reception and lunches. Workshops and tours require an additional fee. Early-bird rates apply on or before 21 September 2026, 23:59 ET.

Hotel

A room block is reserved at The DoubleTree by Hilton Portland (about a half-mile / 5–10 minute walk, or MAX Light Rail to the Convention Center stop). Book by 30 September for the $169 group rate, or when the block fills.
