WEAO Technical Symposium and OPCEA Exhibition

2027 Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference & Trade Show

The Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) and the Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) will jointly host the 2027 Ontario Water & Wastewater Conference & Trade Show at Exhibition Place in Toronto.

Dates: 10–13 May 2027
Venue: Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The joint conference is expected to bring together more than 2,000 water and wastewater professionals for technical learning, knowledge sharing, collaboration and connection. The accompanying trade show is expected to feature more than 200 exhibitors showcasing technologies, equipment, products and services for the drinking water and wastewater sector.

Call for abstracts

The Call for Abstracts for the 2027 OWWA & WEAO Joint Conference is open, with proposals due 9 October 2026. The technical program is expected to include nearly 200 presentations across drinking water, wastewater and cross-cutting topics. Full technical papers are optional.

Technical streams include water treatment and distribution, groundwater, source water protection, asset management, automation and digital solutions, climate change, construction, emerging issues, public engagement and education, water reuse, collection systems, operations, residuals and biosolids, stormwater, wastewater treatment and technologies, and university research.

A redesigned 2027 sponsorship program includes sponsorship tiers, Signature Sponsorships and Exhibition Place Experience Sponsorships. Returning 2026 WEAO Conference sponsors receive advance access before remaining opportunities are released more widely.
